Back of card reads:
California Palace of the Legion of Honor
Built in 1924 as a memorial to California's dead in the first World War, it closely resembles the 18th Century Palais de la Legion de Honneur in Paris and contains 19 main-floor galleries of paintings and tapestries. In the center of the driveway facing the museum is a flag pole marking the western terminus of the Lincoln Highway (U.S. 40) and nearby is the 18-hole Lincoln Park municipal golf course.
